Programs

Our dojo offers two distinct programs for membership consisting of a Adults and Children & Teen Programs. Each program is lead by a team of instructors and supported by membership, of which support the dojo’s mission and operating and maintenance costs. As a non-profit dojo, our instructors are passionate about the mission of Aikido, their practice, and continued growth in developing their skill, knowledge, and wisdom.

Lineage

Our programs are guided by direct lineage transmission from the founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba, to Mitsugi Saotome Shihan, to our instructors. This unbroken chain of transmission is very important in our art, and is granted recognition by the Ueshiba family supported organization, the Aikikai Foundation in Tokyo, Japan. Saotome Shihan is dedicated to supporting and honoring the Ueshiba family, as well as the members of our dojo.

Adult Program

The Adult Program at the dojo is complete with morning, mid-morning, evening, and weekend practice sessions. With access to approximately 80-100 sessions per month, we are passionate about the art and its benefits for daily life. Intensity will vary based on focus, weather, and member attendance.

Youth Program

Our youth program for children and teens runs during the school year and offers a great program for physical activity, discipline, structure, and setting the foundation for martial arts practice and Aikido.

Visitors Program & Mat Fees

The dojo welcomes members of other dojo and martial arts. We offer daily mat fees for visiting and request an additional fee when we are hosting Saotome, Shihan.
