Guest Quarters

Originally called “the loft”, it was historically used for storing material for sensei’s art, older art pieces since retired, and a variety of things. Over time it was used as a residence for soto-deshi of Mitsugi Saotome Shihan.

After a period of time, deshi designed and worked with Saotome Shihan to design enhancements in an effort to balance the space with the tea room, add privacy, and further contribute to the dojo’s asthetic. Later, it was further renovated with cabinetry for storage and for guest use and offers a space for visitors of the dojo.

Please enquire with a senior instructor for accommodations in this space during visits and/or seminars.
