Dear ASD members,
We hope everyone is continuing to stay safe, healthy, and weathering the unprecedented challenges we are facing.
In this time of considerable uncertainty, the dojo remains a strong community even though we are not training together on the mat! The Thursday evening social hour on Zoom has been a great opportunity to connect virtually and everyone is welcome. Moving forward, we will ensure the link is available on a weekly basis on the Dojo facebook page.
Adult Program Updates
Based on the current public health recommendations and the local mandates for social isolation, we will continue to suspend adult classes for the month of May.
However, some good news: We are getting organized to offer limited online training from ASD Instructors and more detailed information will be shared soon! Stay tuned.
Given the ongoing nature of the pandemic and the uncertainty of travel, we have made the hard decision to cancel Summer Camp at Catholic University this July.
Adult Program Dues
For May and any following months when the dojo is closed, if you decide to continue to support the dojo financially through the payment of dues, no action on your part is required.Should you wish to temporarily suspend your dues payments, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Monthly dues support the dojo’s operating expenses, keeping us financially healthy for what we hope, but can’t assume, will be a resumption of adult classes in the coming months.
Building Access Reminder
Note that the dojo is closed to all face to face classes and individual training. To access the dojo for any other reason, you must contact Yuncong, the dojo manager at email@example.com
Youth Program Updates
Following the schedule of the DC Public School system, Youth Program classes are suspended through June, which to our great regret, is the effective season this year for youth training.
All Youth Program dues payment will be temporarily suspended for months during which classes are cancelled. Should you wish to continue to support the dojo financially through the payment of dues, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org and we will leave your membership active.
We will be back in touch with updates on dojo operations as we learn more information. Please join our Facebook Page,
